In October, Ms. Logothetis, Grade 4 Teacher received the YOUNG WRITER'S latest nationwide contest packet, "Spooky Sagas," for fourth grade students to enter. The task was to tackle one of the oldest of story-telling traditions: the ghost story! However, there was a twist added. The students had to write it as a mini saga, a story in just 100 words!
Five students were sent congratulatory letters that their stories were selected to be published in the book, "Spooky Sagas - Stories from New Jersey." Thomas Jefferson School is proudly represented in this book from Union City. It's evident that seeing their work in print gave these young authors a sense of pride and achievement. We are all truly proud of how they rose to the challenge and succeeded!
Congratulations Room 301 creative authors/winners:
Aniyah A., Samantha G., Neylin L., Dahianna R., and Katelyn M.
