The Washington School celebrated Read Across America Week with a themed spirit week and reading assembly! Thank you to Board of Education officials Mr. Passante, Mrs. Pena and Mrs. Valle for attending and participating in this special event.

The Washington School held a BSCA Paint for a Happier Mind Family Event for its 4th Grade students. The event builds upon the special bond with the parent and child. The families also enjoyed dinner and snacks.

The Washington School celebrated Black History Month, Valentine’s Day and 100 Days of School during their monthly Parent’s Breakfast meeting. Parents and families enjoyed student presentations and information regarding the upcoming state assessments. Thank you to our parent liaison, Mrs. Kanik, for coordinating this special event for our parents.

Please be advised per Superintendent of Schools Silvia T. Abbato, all Union City Public Schools will be closed on Thursday February 6, 2025. Schools will reopen on Friday February 7, 2025 unless otherwise announced. Thank you for your attention in this matter and please be safe in this inclement weather.

Congratulations to Washington School’s January Students of The Month! Principal Rivera awarded the students with a certificate and awards for their outstanding achievements in the classroom.

The Washington School held its monthly parent breakfast with parents and families. A celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year was celebrated with student performances and traditions. Parents were also provided with pertinent community resources from agencies and the Library. Thanks to our Parent Liaison, Mrs. Kanik, for coordinating this special event for our families.
