Happy December! Welcome back everyone! Here is the latest news and information about upcoming events concerning the Washington School. Please take a moment to review our December 2024 calendar.

The Washington School hosted Mayor Brian P. Stack’s Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon for the community! Thankful to all volunteers and staff for decorating and serving our community!

The Washington School celebrated Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving to all! It was a wonderful experience for everyone involved.

The Washington School hosted a “Paint for a Happier Mind: A Thanksgiving Celebration” event for Fifth-Grade students and their parents centered on gratitude, creativity, and togetherness. This Thanksgiving-themed event encouraged families to celebrate and reflect on what they’re thankful for while enjoying a guided painting activity, festive fall-inspired food, and time to connect.

The Washington School hosted their monthly Parent Breakfast with parents and families celebrating Thanksgiving, National Education Week, and Hispanic Heritage! They were presented with valuable information with a workshop on improving study habits and community resources to assist families. Thank you to our parent liaison, Mrs. Kanik, for organizing this event for our parents.

The Washington School celebrated Veterans Day! Students participated in classroom activities to honor our Veterans. Staff and students were also encouraged to wear red, white, and blue apparel.

Congratulations to Washington School’s October Students of The Month! Principal Rivera awarded the students with a certificate and awards for their outstanding academic achievements.

The Washington School celebrated Halloween with their Olympics theme! Students participated in a parade and activities throughout the day. Students also received a pumpkin from Mayor Brian P. Stack.

The Washington School celebrated “Violence Awareness Week” with daily themes and classroom activities to promote an awareness of a safe learning environment. This is a state wide initiative at all schools and what a wonderful job by everyone involved.
