Students participated in the national “Lights on After School” Celebration. Students wrote about why after school is important to them and some of the benefits of the program. They also participated in a poster contest to promote the importance of afterschool programs. It was truly an excellent experience for everyone involved.

The Washington School 4th Grade students participated in a fire prevention show sponsored by the North Hudson Regional Fire Department. Students learned fire prevention and safety procedures to follow in their homes. It was a very educational experience for them.

The Washington School Kindergarten students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by researching their country and learning a geography lesson on its location. Certainly, it was a very educational and fulfilling experience for them to engage in this research.

Washington School celebrated the “Week of Respect” from October 3rd through October 7th with a variety of school-wide activities. Students learned the knowledge and skills that they need in order to be respectful and kind future leaders within our school and community.

The George Washington School welcomed all parents to a successful in person “Back To School Night” to meet their child’s teachers. It was an excellent opportunity for everyone to interact as we continue with the 2022-2023 school year.
