Washington School Principal, Mr. Rivera, awarded the students at the Washington School who achieved excellent state testing scores on last school year’s NJSLA (New Jersey State Learning Assessments). Once again, an incredible job by these dedicated students.

The International WeLoveU Foundation donated book bags and school supplies on the first day of school to all of Washington School’s Kindergarten students. Silvia Abbato, the Superintendent of Schools, attended the event along with Commissioner Wendy Grullon, Ydalia Genao (Board President), Alex Velasquez (Board Trustee) and Mercedes Joaquin (Director of Community Relations).

Washington School’s Principal, Mr. Rivera, welcomed all the staff and teachers with an opening school year meeting as well as a complimentary breakfast. This year marks the 100th Anniversary of Washington School, so it was quite the celebration for such a historic time.

Please be advised the High School, Middle School and Elementary School Breakfast Program resumes on Thursday September 7, 2023. All students are entitled to a free breakfast on school days from 7:00AM-8:15AM. Thank you for taking the time to review.
