The Washington School Community enjoyed Thanksgiving with their family and friends at Brian P. Stack’s Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the Washington School. Thank you to all staff and volunteers for your assistance in decorating and helping out for this special event.

Congratulations to Washington School’s Students of The Month for November 2023! Principal Rivera awarded the students with a certificate and awards for their academic achievements in the classroom.

Washington School’s Teachers and Students shared a special moment in class to celebrate Thanksgiving and they discussed what they are thankful for. Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

The Washington School celebrated their “100 Year Centennial Anniversary” at their monthly Parent’s Breakfast! Parents enjoyed a breakfast and student performances to celebrate this historical event in the Union City School District.

George Washington School Teachers apply strategies they learned attending Union City's Professional Development Academy. Ms. Jimenez taught her 4th grade students how to multiply with area models using base ten blocks and Mrs. Proietto had her students explore algebraic expressions using cups and cubes.

The Washington School celebrated Halloween with a “Halloween through the Decades” theme! Thank you to Mayor Brian P. Stack and the Commissioners for giving pumpkins to all of our students. The students participated in a Halloween Parade and activities were held for all grade levels in the gymnasium.

The North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue Department provided a fire prevention presentation for Washington School students. They demonstrated fire safety tips for students in their home environments that their families can follow.
