The Washington School held a Parent’s Luncheon celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Cinco de Mayo, and Mother’s Day with parents and families! They enjoyed a delicious luncheon and special student performances. Community agencies also presented important resources to the parents. Thank you to our Parent Liaison, Maria Kanik, for coordinating and organizing this special event for our parents.,

The Washington School hosted an anti-bullying assembly, “Be True To You”, for 3rd Grade students from Washington School and Jefferson School. Students enjoyed the performance and important message from the performers.

Washington School students were introduced to the Mood Boost Program by Chartwells staff. Students will participate in a 7 week program starting next week where students receive incentives for eating or selecting a healthy food item associated with the mood boost of the week.

The Washington School celebrated Earth Day. All students and staff were encouraged to wear the color green. Students were engaged in hands on activities to reinforce the world theme of “Planet versus Plastics.”

The Washington School held its monthly parent breakfast with parents and families today. Parents enjoyed a presentation on Autism Awareness and important resources on autism from retiree Ingrid Munin. Parents also enjoyed the student performances and community resources. Thank you to our Parent Liaison for organizing this event for our school community.
