Week 3 of the 21st Century Summer Program Here are some of the exciting highlights from Week 3. Students at the Washington School continued to work on ELA, Math and STEM activities. In addition, students participated in recreational activities such as mindfulness/yoga, coding with robots and math art.
Week 2 of the 21st Century Summer Program Week 2 of Washington School's 21st Century Summer Program is in the books.Here are highlights from this week, which included various STEM activities, ELA and Math enrichment, along with flying drones as well as entering a world of virtual reality. It was quite an experience for the students.
21st Century Summer What an excellent day for students to get refreshed during these summer days. It was such a fun experience for them after all of their hard work during this school year.
Free Summer Food Distribution Program Mayor Brian P. Stack and the Union City Board of Education invite you to participate as the following sites will be open in the Union City School District for the free distribution of summer food. Any students under the age of 18 can partake. Breakfast and Lunch will be served from June 27th-August 31st. This is an excellent opportunity to remain nourished during these summer months.
Kindergarten Celebration The Washington School congratulated their Kindergarten students after all of their hard work and dedication this year. Great job by them as they move on to First Grade.
6th Grade Celebration The Washington School celebrated their 6th Grade students with a wonderful event. They will be moving on to the middle school and we want to wish them the best of luck as they continues their studies.
Performing For Parents Washington School students displayed their instrumental talents at a musical performance for parents. This was an exceptional display and we are so proud of their abilities.
Excellent Creativity 6th Grade Teacher Mrs. Proietto and her students created very innovative projects using items from trash that helped eliminate waste in their community. It was truly an educational experience for the students and instrumental to caring for the environment.
COVID-19 Vaccines For Ages 5 & Up Are Now Available COVID-19 vaccines are available today, June 1st, for children ages 5 and up from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM at the Jefferson School, which is located at: 3400 Palisades Avenue, Union City, New Jersey.
